At TMC Academy, we feel that industrial attachments are an integral part of our students’ learning process in the Hospitality Management course. Some of its great advantages to the students include the following: to familiarise themselves with the industry, to help them enhance their social and communication skills, to practice their theories with real-life scenarios, to gain in-depth knowledge about their future career prospects.
Our Higher Diploma course is registered with Committee for Private Education (CPE), endorsed by FBMA (Food and Beverage Management Association), and accepted by our university partners for advanced standing. It is consist of ten other management modules including: Event Management, Casino Management, Hotel and Resort Management, Tourism Planning and Development, etc.. We carefully choose our industry attachment partners, from various luxurious hotels, boutique hotels, resorts, fine dining restaurants, travel industry, event organisation and catering industry, to maintain high standards of educational experience.
TMC Academy has come up with place assessment procedures that will enable the students and the host organization’s Industrial Attachment Supervisor to review their progress. In order to ensure that both the students and the employers gain the most from this industrial attachment, a Learning Contract is drawn up to identify the student’s roles and the organization’s target objectives for them. Formal reviews will take place periodically throughout the internship. According to the company’s Human Resource policies, the students are entitled for a monthly allowance and normal week offs during the six months training.
