The BA (Hons) Media Production & the Moving Image with Film & Screen Studies programme is a final year joint honours degree programme.
The Media Production and Moving Image component will help you to become a multi-faceted media professional, comfortable with contemporary production skills and processes, and able to think creatively and critically. The Film and Screen Studies component gives you the chance to explore screen media, examining their role in popular culture, their form and content, the technology and industry that produce them, and practical aspects of how they are made.

Higher Diploma in Mass Communication
Course Information
The Higher Diploma in Mass Communication programme provides students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the interdisciplinary fields of mass communications, including Journalism, Film, and Multimedia. The programme is designed to help develop students’ analytical techniques and problem solving skills, enabling them to evaluate evidence, arguments and assumptions in the field of mass communications.
Upon completion of this programme, students are eligible to progress to the final year top-up Bachelor’s Degree in Media Production & the Moving Image with Film & Screen Studies; and eligible to gain advanced standings in the degree programmes at universities in Australia and USA.
Course Duration Full Time: 14 months* Part Time: 18 months* * may be completed in 12 months (full-time) or 16 months (part-time) in the intensive mode.
